Terms of Use — Deenius

By downloading and using the Deenius application, you accept the terms below.
1. Service description
Deenius is an iOS application dedicated to prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran reading, and daily spiritual guidance (reminders, objectives, learning). Part of the functionality is free, another part requires a Premium subscription.
2. Premium subscription
The Premium subscription is offered in two plans:
- Monthly: €1.99 per month
- Annual: €14.99 per year
(Indicative prices, verified at the time of purchase. Rates adjusted to your region via Apple tiers.)
2.1 Automatic renewal
The subscription automatically renews at the end of each period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before expiration. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account.
2.2 Manage and cancel
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions
- Or via Settings app → Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. No prorated refund is made.
2.3 No free trial in V1
The application does not offer a free trial period on first subscription. Some Premium features are accessible for free (limited Focus Mode, 2 learning modules) to let you test before purchase.
3. Religious content
Quran verses are provided with their Arabic text and a French translation inspired by reference versions. Tafsir summaries displayed in the app are short excerpts cited with their source. For deeper study, we invite you to consult the original source or a qualified scholar.
Deenius is not intended to replace structured religious teaching.
4. Data and privacy
The use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
In short: everything stays on your device, nothing is transmitted to a Deenius server.
5. Intellectual property
The application, its design, editorial texts, learning content and source code are the property of Brandon BORGES. Unauthorized reproduction prohibited.
The Quranic text and traditional invocations are in the public domain; translations and tafsir summaries are cited according to their sources.
6. Limitations of liability
- Prayer times are calculated via the Adhan-Swift library and may vary by a few minutes depending on your location and chosen method. Refer to your local mosque for definitive times.
- The hijri calendar used (UmmAlQura) may differ by ±1 day from local lunar observation.
- Focus Mode uses Apple's Family Controls framework. Its behavior depends on system limitations and can be disabled by the user at any time.
7. Changes
These terms may be modified. Changes will be published in the app and on the hosting page. Continued use after modification implies acceptance.
